At his very 1st show

Josiah is a very "Special" Riascatz baby due to his unforseen entry into this world!! his mum dedcided to "hide" this beautiful baby after having lost her litter 2 days earlier. He was born 2 days later (5 days premature)very unexpectedly and mum did a good job of hiding him for 6 hours before he was found, only due to the fact of him letting out a huge cry, he had been on laminate flooring for around 6 hours so was freezing cold with his placenta still attached! the bottom picture is just minutes after he was found and floated in warm water to bring his temperature back up to normal and put on a heating pad, the next dilemma was that mum did not want to bond with him at all so he was "placed" with his half sister who had 2 babies who were 5 days old, but 3 times the size, I hand fed him for around a week while he was kept warm with Lola, then all of a sudden he decided to suckle as well, the rest is now history!

I would like to take the opportunity to say a very big

THANK YOU!!

To Deborah Flint for giving our Josiah such a wonderful home and for presenting him so beautifully in the show ring!!
